As founder of Thumb Cinema, I'm pleased to offer several new flip books to line tiny  bookshelves.   My effort was to shift the flip book medium away from  children and offer books for multi-aged kids -- funny, poetic, instructional, political, and not Disney. We hope you enjoy these little movies.

Included among these books is Howdy From Iowa -initially designed to be a title in Robert Hughes's very funny movie  Zadar, Cow From Hell. and the flipbook Dead Astaire, personally requested by America's greatest film director Jon Landis.

Joe Sharpnack

After teaming up with Thumb Cinema, Sharpnack has written and directed such hits as Field of Dreams-Harvest Time and The Amazing Bruno, which he hopes to submit to Cannes next year.

When asked about the future of his film career, Mr. Sharpnack replied, "We're hoping to see an Academy nomination within two years. After that, there's no stopping us."

When he's not writing and directing, Sharpnack can be found relaxing at his ranch, the "El Bruno".
